NEW DELHI: India wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan celebrated his birthday on Tuesday (July 18) with the Indian cricket team that is in Trinidad for the second Test against the West Indies that starts on Thursday.
The BCCI shared a video showing how Ishan spent the day. The video starts with Ishan doing batting and keeping practice and also cracking some jokes with his teammates.
The video has India captain Rohit Sharma asking his Mumbai Indians teammate in Hindi “what do you want on your birthday, you have everything, you give us a birthday gift by scoring a century”, making Ishan burst into laughter.
The video also shows Ishan talking to the ‘Prince of Trinidad’ the great Brian Lara.
Talking about Lara, Ishan says, “It is always special, you know, he is a legend, we all are very big fans of him, we have seen his batting, highlights and everything, there is a lot to learn, so we might get to learn lots from him”
The video then shows Ishan cutting a birthday cake and giving the first bite to India coach Rahul Dravid.
The video ends with Ishan thanking all for the birthday wishes.

Ishan made his Test debut in the first Test against the West Indies in Dominica. He had scored just 1 run when Rohit Sharma declared the first innings and India went on to win the match by an innings and 141 runs inside 3 days.
