Nilesh Rane, son of Union minister Narayan Rane quits active politics | Mumbai News – Times of India
MUMBAI: Nilesh Rane, the elder son of Union minister Narayan Rane, announced his withdrawal from active politics on Tuesday. He was Member of the Lok Sabha representing Ratnagiri-Sindhdurg from 2009-2014.
In a post on X, Rane said, “I am stepping away from active politics. Politics no longer interests me. There is no other reason.”
He thanked his supporters for the last 19-20 years for staying with him selflessly. He further said he had received a lot of love in the BJP and was fortunate to have had an opportunity to work with a party like the BJP.
“I am a small man but I got to learn a lot in politics and some relationships with colleagues have endured and have become family”, he said.
He expressed his gratitude to them emphasising the significance of their contributions to his life.
