Ranbir Kapoor compares his character in ‘Animal’ to Shahid Kapoor starrer ‘Kabir Singh’; calls it ‘tough and uncompromising’ | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

With a blockbuster teaser and soulful songs, makers of the Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Animal‘ have left fans asking for more. The promise of an upcoming trailer has taken the anticipation to another level.
Amidst this, Ranbir Kapoor opened up about his character in the movie and even compared it to Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Arjun Reddy‘ starring Vijay Deverakonda in Telugu and Shahid Kapoor starrer ‘Kabir Singh‘ in Hindi.According to the actor, he was drawn to the film because of its intense storyline. He also added that Vanga’s previous films were both powerful and impactful. However, his decision to do ‘Animal’ was not solely based on them. For him, it was more about the script, the character, and the opportunity to work with Sandeep Reddy Vanga.

Talking about what he most liked about Sandeep’s protagonists, Ranbir added that like Shahid Kapoor in ‘Kabir Singh’ and Vijay Deverakonda in ‘Arjun Reddy’, his character in ‘Animal’ is also ‘tough and uncompromising’. However, what sets him apart is the layers of complexity and depth that have been woven into his character.

Elaborating further, Rambir added that while he may exhibit strength and determination, there are also moments of vulnerability and internal conflict that make him more relatable and human. So while his character in Animal shares some similarities with Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s previous protagonists, there are also distinct differences that make him stand out in his own right.
