In a recent vlog posted on IU’s YouTube channel on December 25th, the acclaimed singer-songwriter dropped hints about her forthcoming album scheduled for release next year.
The anticipation among fans reached new heights as IU shared insights into the making of the music video.
When questioned about the video shoot, IU expressed her immense satisfaction, stating, “When I was shooting the MV, it was so good, the tone and mood. Even without any CG, it was great. Something that you’ve never seen in IU’s MVs.” Her excitement was palpable, promising a visual spectacle that deviates from her previous works.
Adding a touch of humor to the conversation, IU recounted an amusing incident during the shoot. Responding to a staff member’s playful remark, she revealed, “To be honest, I tried [to run away]. But I got a flat tire. What’s funnier is that V-ssi first got a flat tire, so I was like, ‘Let’s run away,’ but my car too got a flat tire. I think they planted something like glass on the site so we couldn’t get away.”
This collaboration marks the second time V has joined forces with IU, the first being in IU’s ‘Palette’ released on September 12th. The unexpected friendship between the two artists had previously surprised fans, with IU shedding light on their camaraderie, stating, “It’s not the first time we’ve met. We usually talk informally to each other.” V, echoing IU’s sentiments, shared, “We got close talking about music. We can talk so easily to each other when it comes to music. Our tastes matched well.”
Their musical connection was further showcased when they sang “Ending Scene” together, receiving praise for their harmonious collaboration. IU even went on to recommend a duo performance, emphasizing how well their voices blended together. As IU and V gear up for their latest collaboration, fans are eagerly awaiting the release of what promises to be a visual and auditory treat.
