Johny Lever pays heartfelt tribute to Junior Mehmood at 40th day prayer meet | – Times of India
Family, friends, and colleagues gathered to pay their respects at a prayer meet organized on the 40th day of Junior Mehmood’s passing.The ceremony took place in Mumbai, where the late actor’s family sought solace in the presence of close associates from the film fraternity.
Among the notable attendees was the talented actor-comedian Johny Lever, who shared heartfelt memories of his late colleague. Speaking at the prayer meet, Johny Lever told Instant Bollywood, “We pray that God keeps them in a good place. Because his talent belongs to Almighty God. The talent comes from God, from above, from the special quota. And we pray that God gives strength to both the children in their family.”

Comedian Sunil Pal and other members of the entertainment industry also paid their tributes, sharing anecdotes about the late actor’s wit and camaraderie.
Johny Lever was among the initial individuals to visit Jr Mehmood at his Mumbai residence in his last days. Later, Sachin Pilgaonkar and Jeetendra also paid their visit to their old friend and urged fans to pray for his health.
Jr Mehmood has been featured in over 200 films in different languages. He is best known for movies like’Brahmachari (1968), Mera Naam Joker (1970), Parvarish (1977), and Do Aur Do Paanch (1980).
