NEW DELHI: Australia shattered Pakistan‘s dreams in a nail-biting finish to secure a spot in the final against India. The heart-stopping semi-final clash at the Under-19 World Cup witnessed unparalleled drama and intensity, with the outcome hanging in the balance until the very last moments.
After an enthralling 99 overs of play, the match came down to the wire, with Australia needing to chase down three runs off the final six balls with just one wicket in hand.
In a moment of high tension, vice-captain Raf MacMillan edged the ball to the boundary, sealing victory for Australia by the narrowest of margins – one wicket.The sight of devastated Pakistani players, lying motionless on the ground and shedding tears, painted a poignant picture of heartbreak.
