PATNA: Bihar opposition leader and RJD legislator Tejashwai Prasad Yadav on Wednesday alleged CM Nitish Kumar was planning to dissolve the state assembly to conduct the assembly elections along with the Lok Sabha polls. He also attacked the CM for switching sides too frequently, harming the state’s growth.
“He (Nitish) wants to dissolve the Bihar assembly and conduct assembly elections in the state together with the Lok Sabha polls.I dare him to do so,” Tejashwi, who is currently on the statewide tour of the state as part of his party’s Jan Vishwas Yatra, told a rally in Bettiah on Wednesday. He said Nitish wants to do that since his JD(U) became the number three party in the state in the last 2020 assembly elections in terms of seats.
Claiming Nitish would suffer serious poll setbacks if he dared to dissolve the House, Tejashwi said Nitish’s move would leave even his ally BJP in serious danger if he went ahead with this plan.
“If he dared to dissolve the Bihar assembly, both the JD(U) and BJP would be politically finished in Bihar.

“Vidhan Sabha (ka chunav) to harega hi, saath hi (Narendra) Modi Ji ko bhi harayenge

(Not only Nitish will lose the assembly elections, but he will also defeat Narendra Modi in the Lok Sabha polls),” he declared.
He ridiculed Nitish over the way the latter has always been talking about elections.

“Bat-bat par chunav. Bataiye kauno mazak hai?”

he asked.
He also told the crowd how Nitish had taken oath as CM as many as three times in the past three years and said Nitish had nothing to do with the people of the state.
Talking to the media earlier in the day, Tejashwi said he already faced in 2020 assembly what was reported later in Chandigarh mayoral elections.
“Similar things had happened with me during the 2020 assembly polls where our 10-15 candidates were defeated in the wrong way,” Tejashwi told the media and sought for installing adequate numbers of CCTV cameras at polling booths and counting centres to maintain fairness in polling and counting process.
