Filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor recently revealed that Sushant Singh Rajput was reportedly ‘disturbed’ during ‘Kedarnath‘. He further reminisced about SSR’s dedication to his work, highlighting how he would shoot in freezing conditions, inspiring co-star Sara Ali Khan to do the same.
In an interview with Siddharth Kanan, Abhishek revealed his strong connection with Sushant Singh Rajput and disclosed his initial plans to cast him in ‘Fitoor.’ However, the project did not materialize with Sushant, leading him to be cast in ‘Kedarnath’ instead.Abhishek reminisced about the challenging conditions during Sara and Sushant’s first schedule together for ‘Kedarnath,’ particularly recalling a cold, rainy night scene they had to film. Despite the discomfort, Sushant displayed remarkable determination, inspiring Sara to match his dedication.

Sushant set the example by taking the initiative. Seeing him go first, Sara felt motivated to follow suit. Witnessing his determination, she realized that if he could do it, so could she. This inspired her to step up and embrace the challenge alongside him.

Abhishek elaborated that during that period, Sushant seemed to be going through a tough time. Despite his remarkable mental and physical resilience, he appeared to feel isolated and helpless, as if he was losing his way.

The filmmaker believed that it was necessary to address the reactions and aftermath of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. He expressed satisfaction that the issue was brought into focus, especially considering the prevailing atmosphere and the blatant manipulation occurring within the industry through various means.
