BHOPAL: A woman pilot was injured after a trainer aircraft crash landed in Guna district of Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday.
The plane had taken off from Neemuch to Dhana airstrip in Sagar around 11:30 am. Technical snag is suspected to be the cause of the crash, officials said.
Officials said the pilot identified as Nancy Mishra, who was a student of the Chimes Aviation Academy, in Sagar had sought to make an emergency landing at the Guna aerodrome after reporting an engine issue.
However, during the landing attempt, the aircraft collided with a tree and crashed into bushes near a pond around 4 pm. Police and administrative teams reached the spot. The area of the crash has been cordoned off, restricting access. The CID team also conducted an inspection of the site.
