AAP’s Jalandhar MP Sushil Kumar Rinku likely to join BJP | India News – Times of India
NEW DELHI: Aam Aadmi Party Lok Sabha member Sushil Kumar Rinku is likely to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), news agency PTI quoting sources said on Wednesday.
Last year, Rinku emerged victorious in a by-poll in Jalandhar, Punjab, becoming the Lok Sabha MP with a significant margin. He stands as the sole representative of the Aam Aadmi Party in the outgoing Lok Sabha.
Rinku, a former Congress MLA, switched to the Aam Aadmi Party on April 23 last year.The following day, he was announced as the AAP candidate for the Jalandhar parliamentary constituency.
According to news agency PTI Rinku is now likely to contest the Lok Sabha election on a BJP ticket after joining the party.
