Police raided an illegal hookah parlour in the city’s Fort district on Tuesday, seizing ₹ 4,400 in cash and nine hookah pots worth ₹ 13,500.The raid began around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday and lasted until 5 a.m. on Wednesday, according to an official.
“During the raid, the police discovered stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui and others smoking hookahs at the establishment.” We also have a video of their performance. We seized Faruqui and others, but they were eventually released because the charges against them were bailable,” a senior police officer told news agency PTI.
Soon after the news was out, Elvish Yadav took to X (Formerly known as Twitter) to write a cryptic note for Munawar Faruqui, he wrote, “Biggboss Jeetne Ke Baad Sabka Bura Time Shuru Hojaata Hai Kya.”
Earlier, when Elvish got bail from the Snake Venom Case, Munawar had shared, “It is good for him, I saw his mom and dad and I know how it feels. Good news hai so I am happy for him.”

Talking about Elvish’s bail, his lawyer, Prashant Rathi, said in an encounter with journalists that Yadav had been granted bail on the condition that he furnish two sureties of Rs 50,000 apiece. He added that the honourable court had approved the bail, but Elvish would be released following a few procedural formalities. Rathi further claimed that Elvish was framed in the case because no proof of the NDPS Act was seized from him. He also added that the other two arrested men, Vinay Yadav and Ishwar Yadav, had been given bail.
