NEW DELHI: In the latest update to the ICC Men’s T20I Batting Rankings, there has been a significant shift at the top, with Suryakumar Yadav of India being displaced from the number one position.
Yadav, who has been the leading T20 batsman since December 2023 and has previously held the top spot, has been overtaken after outstanding performances by Australia’s Travis Head during the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

Head has ascended to the number one ranking following a series of impressive performances, notably his remarkable 76-run innings against India, despite the team’s defeat and early exit on Monday.
This performance, among others, has facilitated his jump of four places to claim the top spot, resulting in Yadav, along with Phil Salt, Babar Azam, and Mohammad Rizwan, moving down in the rankings to complete the top five.
The batting rankings also see Johnson Charles of the West Indies making his entry into the top ten. Similarly, Rahmanullah Gurbaz of Afghanistan has climbed five spots, though he finds himself just outside the top ten.
The All-rounders Rankings have seen Australia’s Marcus Stoinis lose his number one position, dropping to fourth. The updated table sees Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga reclaiming the top spot, with Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi and India’s Hardik Pandya occupying the second and third positions, respectively.

The bowling rankings continue to be led by England’s Adil Rashid, with notable movements including Rashid Khan of Afghanistan moving up to the second spot following his performances in the T20 World Cup.
Australian bowler Josh Hazlewood has also moved up three places to fourth. Noteworthy ascents in the bowling rankings include Kuldeep Yadav of India moving up 20 places to 11th, Jasprit Bumrah jumping 44 spots to 24th, and England’s Jofra Archer climbing 19 places to 38th.
