‘Driverless’ Pune municipal truck’s wild reverse ride caught on camera | Pune News – Times of India

A video of a road maintenance pickup truck of the Pune Municipal Corporation speeding in reverse with no driver in sight has gone viral on social media platforms.

The video showing the ‘driverless’ vehicle dangerously speeding backwards on an empty road has raised road safety concerns.
The footage, recorded around 11.45pm on the Vaiduwadi flyover, shows the vehicle marked “Pune Municipal Corporation” moving dangerously in reverse without any driver.
Since there was little traffic at that time, a major accident was avoided.
The out-of-control pickup truck eventually stopped after hitting a road divider, which limited the damage and prevented injuries.
The reason for the vehicle’s erratic behavior is still unknown.
