Rajinikanth hospitalised in Chennai | Tamil Movie News – Times of India

Actor Rajinikanth (age 74) has been admitted to Apollo Hospital, Greams Road, Chennai due to sudden illness. According to reports, the ‘Vettaiyan’ actor is said to have suffered sudden abdominal pain will undergo a major test today.
It is said that due to a heart related problem, permission has been sought from a cardiologist and he will undergo a major medical examination.An official statement from the hospital is expected to be released later today.
At the same time, it has also been reported that Rajinikanth’s health is stable and he will return home soon after the completion of medical treatment. Rajinikanth is reported to have visited the hospital for a basic digestive discomfort and is absolutely fine now. He has been kept for observation and additional health checkup and is said to be discharged by today evening.
Meanwhile on the work front, Rajinikanth had been shooting of his upcoming film ‘Coolie’ with director Lokesh Kanagaraj. Earlier on Monday, he also met veteran filmmakers SP Muthuraman and AVM Saravanan, and the photos of this meeting had gone viral on social media.
