TOI and HDFC join hands for cyber security summit

As the world becomes more and more digital, the importance of cybersecurity has never been more critical. Cybercriminals often take advantage of technological loopholes and lack of user awareness to commit data, financial and even identity thefts. Educating and empowering users to remain vigilant is essential in safeguarding against cyber attacks. In line with this objective, HDFC Bank and TOI present the Cyber Security Summit, set to take place on November 14, 2024, in New Delhi.The event brings together experts, policymakers and industry leaders to share useful tips and insights on how to stay secure online.
The Summit will feature dynamic panel discussions and fireside chats focused on the evolving cybersecurity landscape. Topics include the latest policy frameworks, the pivotal role of banks in combating financial cybercrime, and emerging technologies designed to counter new-age cyber threats.
Let’s take a look at the sessions that will unfold at the Cyber Security Summit.
The opening address will be delivered by Jimmy Tata, Chief Credit Officer, HDFC Bank. Further, attendees can look forward to three distinct keynote addresses, each offering a unique perspective on cybersecurity.
The first panel shines the spotlight on ‘Prevention Framework & Solutions to Mule Account’ and features Mr. Vijay Raina, General Manager, RBI as one of the key speakers.
During a fireside chat, Vigil Aunty Anu Menon and stand-up comic Atul Khatri will share relatable anecdotes around common cybersecurity mistakes that people make.
The second panel discussion focuses on the role of banks and emerging technologies in dealing with cybercrimes. Speakers include Indranil Bhanja, General Manager, State Bank of India; Rakesh Ranjan, Executive Vice President and Head CFMU, IndusInd Bank; Shri Raj Kumar Mishra , Addl. SP, Special Task Force, Noida UP Police; National Security Council Secretariat and finance influencer Neha Nagar.
Rajit Bhattacharya, Co- founder, Data Sutram; Natarajan Ramani, Executive Vice President , TransUnion CIBIL Limited; NS Nappinai, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court & Founder – Cyber Saathi and finance influencer Abhishek Kar will speak during a session on ‘Emerging Trends in Money Mules and Solutions’.
A second fireside chat will delve into the constantly evolving landscape of digital fraud, examining emerging threats and the latest strategies to deal with them.
The closing address and Vote of Thanks will be delivered by Manish Agrawal, Sr. Executive Vice President & Head – Credit Intelligence & Control, HDFC Bank.
With insights from leading luminaries, the event promises to explore the growing complexity of cyber risks and offer actionable tips for the public to protect themselves.
