Chhaava box office collection Day 43: Vicky Kaushal starrer crosses Rs 590 crore mark on 7th weekend | – The Times of India

Vicky Kaushal‘s historical epic, Chhaava, continued its impressive box office journey, hitting the Rs 590 crore mark as it entered its seventh weekend.
On its 43rd day, the film collected approximately Rs 1.15 crore across all languages, bringing its total domestic net earnings to around Rs 590.24 crore, according to Sacnilk.com.
Despite its success over the past weeks, Chhaava will now faces fresh competition with the release of Salman Khan‘s action-drama Sikandar on March 30. Advance bookings for Sikandar have shown promising figures, with pre-sales crossing the Rs 12 crore mark, with still two days to go before its release on the festival of Eid.
Additionally, the Malayalam film L2: Empuraan, starring Mohanlal, has made a significant impact during the extended Eid weekend, further intensifying the box office battle for supremacy.
Chhaava, which has already recorded the highest box office collection of the year, thus far, has also become Vicky Kaushal’s highest-earning film to date. Should the film still draw in audiences by the masses, it could just be on its way to the Rs 600 crore milestone. Its performance in the coming week will be pivotal in determining its final box office standing amidst these new releases.
The historical drama, which has been enjoying an almost two-month theatrical run, will have just around two more weeks before it makes its OTT debut. According to reports, the historical epic based on the life of Maratha king Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, will have its digital premiere on Netflix on April 11.
