DSP suspended for assaulting BDO in Jammu | India News – The Times of India

Jammu: J&K govt Friday suspended a DSP posted in Jammu’s Gandhi Nagar for assaulting a block development officer (BDO) and attached him to police headquarters, pending inquiry into the matter.After a video showing DSP Sunil Singh beating BDO Azhar Khan went viral on Monday, Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) officers wrote to the Lieutenant Governor, expressing “deep anguish” over the assault and threatening to go on mass leave if strict action is not taken against the police officer.
