Eknath Shinde-led faction gets Shiv Sena office in Parliament | Mumbai News – Times of India

Responding to a letter written by Shinde faction’s leader of the house MP Rahul Shewalae, the Lok Sabha Secretariat said the designated room for the Sena office in the Parliament building has been allotted to the party.
A letter from Sunanda Chatterjee, deputy secretary in the Lok Sabha secretariat to Shewale stated that Room No 128 in Parliament House has been allotted to the Shiv Sena party. Soon after the dispute over the real Shiv Sena began, both Sena factions were using the party office in Parliament House. Now that office has been allotted to the Shinde faction as the Shiv Sena party office. 13 out of the Sena’s 19 MPs in the Lok Sabha are with Shinde.
The CM Eknath Shinde led Shiv Sena faction on Monday took charge of the Shiv Sena’s party office in Vidhan Bhavan, the state legislature. The Shinde faction earlier in the day demanded that the party office be handed over to the faction after the EC gave the Shiv Sena name and poll symbol of ‘bow and arrow’ to the CM Eknath Shinde faction, recognising them as the real Shiv Sena. Gogawale held a meeting of Shinde faction MLAs in the Sena’s office on Monday.
“The EC has given its decision and based on that we are taking control over the Shiv Sena’s party office. We have been given the party’s name and symbol officially by the EC. So we have first taken over the party office and further this kind of action will go on. As per rules, we will take action and so we have first taken over the legislature party office. We will also take over other offices after holding a meeting. We will issue a whip soon if any issue arises and all will have to follow up. The whip will be applicable to all MLAs elected on the Shiv Sena symbol which includes the Thackerays. If they don’t follow, then we will take action as per law,” Gogawale had said.
