AHMEDABAD: PM Narendra Modi took tough decisions and implemented them without confusion while maintaining peace and tranquillity in the country, home minister Amit Shah said Thursday. He was referring to big projects of religious and cultural significance, including the Ram temple in Ayodhya and renovation of the Kashi Vishwanath temple in Varanasi.
“When leaders from other countries visited Gujarat in the past, they were either given a memento of Siddi Saiyyad jaali or a replica of Taj Mahal. There is nothing wrong with that. But today, I’m happy that even Bhagavad Gita is gifted,” he said at Sarangpur village of Gujarat’s Botad, where he unveiled a 54ft Hanuman statue.

Shah also inaugurated a mega kitchen at Shree Kashtbhanjan Dev Mandir, the revered Hanuman temple on Hanuman Jayanti.
Referring to the government led by Modi promoting subjects and projects of political and cultural significance, he said: “Lakhs of people made sacrifices for Ram janmabhoomi. Instead of bringing a solution, Congress kept stretching it. One day, a court judgment came about and Modi performed the temple’s ground-breaking ceremony. ”Watch Amit Shah unveils 54-ft tall Hanuman statue at Sarangpur temple in Gujarat
