Rajan Shahi Breaks Silence On Issues With Hina Khan: ‘I Still Don’t Talk to Her’ – News18

Over the years, the famous Star Plus show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has been no stranger to gossip columns. The daily soap garnered attention for alleged conflicts among its cast, including producer Rajan Shahi. Speculations surrounding strained relationships involving actors such as Mohsin Khan, Hina Khan, and Harshad Chopda fueled tabloid fodder. However, in a recent interview, Rajan admitted to having disagreements with Hina Khan during her tenure as Akshara on the show. Meanwhile, he also expressed his genuine admiration for the actress.

Speaking to ABP News, Rajan Shahi spoke about actors who are good and talented. He cited Hina Khan as an example and shared, “People who know their jobs, who dare, they will survive. For example, Hina Khan, I had differences with her, and I still have. But she survived because she had the talent and she had that talent and X-factor and intelligence to know how to change her thing. She changed into a fashionista and all that. I admire that. I don’t speak to her but I admire Hina Khan.”

He further mentioned, “That girl worked on herself. Yes, we did have issues during her last few months on the show, but that chapter is closed. She reinvented herself, worked hard, she is still working hard and not taking things for granted.”

Rajan Shahi also addressed a significant decision he made regarding Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. He revealed that he replaced two actors due to their unprofessional behaviour. For those unaware, Hina Khan underwent a significant transformation after departing from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai in November 2016. Her portrayal in the series garnered positive critical acclaim, along with multiple awards. In 2017, she ventured into Colors TV’s Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 8 as a contestant and secured the position of 1st runner-up. Subsequently, she also portrayed antagonistic characters, notably Komolika in Kasauti Zindagii Kay 2.

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai stands as one of the longest-running TV shows in television history. Produced by Rajan Shahi, the series debuted in 2009 with Hina Khan and Karan Mehra portraying the characters of Akshara Maheshwari and Naitik Singhania. Over time, it featured actors such as Shivangi Joshi, Mohsin Khan, Pranali Rathod, and Harshad Chopda. Currently, the show is in its fourth generation, with Samridhii Shukla and Rohit Purohit stepping into the roles of Abhira and Armaan.
