The Palestinian militant group Islamic Jihad fired rockets into Israel from Gaza in the largest barrage in months. The armed wing of Islamic Jihad stated its fighters launched rockets towards southern Israeli communities near the Gaza fence. It said the attacks were in response to “crimes by the Zionist enemy against our Palestinian people.” The Israeli military said that the volley of around 20 rockets caused no casualties.
