Rithvik Dhanjani On Joining Zakir Khan’s Aapka Apna Zakir: ‘Excited To Delve Into Comedy’ – News18

Zakir Khan is ready to make his mark on television with a brand new show called Aapka Apna Zakir soon. The show, which will air on Sony Entertainment Television, is meant to be a total entertainer. Along with Zakir, the show boasts a talented crew, including Shweta Tiwari and Rithvik Dhanjani. Rithvik is known for his exemplary acting skills and is also a renowned reality show host. Now he is all set to show off his skills in the comedy genre.

As per a report by ETmes, Rithvik Dhanjani will be portrayed as a charismatic ‘love sceptic’ character on Aapka Apna Zakir who no longer believes in love but has his own humorous explanation for this as well. Sharing how excited he is for the new show, Rithvik Dhanjani told the portal, “I’ve always found immense joy and growth in exploring new avenues of entertainment from acting to hosting. Now, I’m incredibly excited to delve into comedy, a genre I’ve long admired for its power to bring laughter and smiles. The ability to spread joy is something I deeply value, and I’m thrilled to collaborate with Zakir Khan, whose global impact in comedy is truly inspiring.”

While as the host of reality shows, Rithvik has often entertained audiences with his comedy, this show is different. Earlier, the actor told ETimes, “People have seen my funny side and the comedy I do as a host or on any other show, but here I will take my humour game ahead. It’s something new that I will do and I can’t wait for people to see it.”

Meanwhile, along with Rithvik, Shweta Tiwari will also be seen in the panel as the “It” Girl. Speaking to ETimes, the actress stated that she will be a trendsetter who is always up to date on what is and isn’t trendy. Shweta Tiwari further noted that each episode of the show will contain Zakir’s signature storytelling style, in which he shares anecdotes about his own life and the lives of individuals he encounters. These experiences are often packed with comedy and wisdom, and they are bound to resonate with viewers.

The makers dropped the first promo for Aapka Apna Zakir a few days back. In the clip, Zakir Khan pretends to be a politician who promises to bring entertainment to people irrespective of their age. The caption on the promo read, “Aapse milne aayega. Aur aap hi mein mil jaayega. Aapka Apna Zakir. Jald hi. Sirf #SonyEntertainmentTelevison par.” The release date of the show is yet to be revealed.
