The steeplechase competition consists of three heats, with the top five athletes from each heat advancing to the final round.Sable’s impressive performance ensured his progression to the ultimate stage of the event.

Despite his best efforts, Sable’s timing fell short of his personal best of 8:09.91 minutes, which he had achieved at the Paris Diamond League the previous month.
The heat was dominated by Mohamed Tindouft from Morocco, who secured the top spot with a time of 8:10.62 minutes. Following closely behind was Ethiopia’s Samuel Firewu, clocking in at 8:11.61 minutes to claim the second position.
Abraham Kibiwot of Kenya finished third with a timing of 8:12.02 minutes, while Japan’s Ryuji Miura secured the fourth place, recording a time of 8:12.41 minutes.
Sable’s performance in the qualifying round was impressive, considering the overall timings of the 15 finalists. Despite being fifth, he was among the top performers in the second heat. Throughout the race, Sable maintained his position within the leading pack, demonstrating his technical prowess and tactical approach.
