Exclusive interview with the author
Q: What Inspired You To Write This Book?
A:From a young age, I have seen the hypocrisy within society and its institutions. As I grew older and stopped seeking approval, conforming to social norms, or chasing money, status, and power, I began to see the truth behind these illusions. I realized that humanity has been, and will continue to be, trapped in a cycle of delusion. I wrote this book to help break this chain of fear and conformity.
Q: Can You Tell Us About The Book?
A: Prisons of Delusion examines how grand narratives, religious dogmas, and state power have manipulated humanity, creating delusions that persist across time. The book reveals how media, politics, and institutions distort reality to control perception, while exploring how education, economic progress, and technology can dismantle these illusions. It highlights the power of art and culture as revolutionary forces challenging the status quo and inspiring liberation. Ultimately, the book is a manifesto urging readers to confront existential threats by breaking free from self-imposed delusions and seeking truth in a rapidly changing world.
Q: What Does The Title Mean?
A: The title Prisons of Delusion symbolizes the idea that our past, present, and future are like three interconnected prisons, where humanity remains trapped by illusions and false beliefs. The book explores how grand narratives, religious dogmas, and state power have historically manipulated us, shaping delusions that continue to control our perceptions and actions today. This book is a call to liberate ourselves from these prisons of delusion and forge a path toward a more truthful and resilient world.
Q: What Did You Learn When Writing The Book?
A:While writing the book, I realized that despite my intent to challenge social norms, I still conformed to meaningless rituals and was part of the hypocrisy I sought to expose. I felt suffocated by the need to reiterate certain ideas and resisted the urge to include more examples, striving for clarity and focus in my message.
Q: How Long Does It Take You To Write A Book?
A: It took 6 months to complete.
Q: What Is The Most Difficult Part About Writing For You?
A: The hardest part of writing for me is managing my emotions and being brutally honest, even when I know it might upset many readers.
