Republican presidential candidate and former President Donald Trump has claimed that Google CEO Sundar Pichai called him to praise his recent visit to a McDonald’s outlet in the US state of Pennsylvania.
During an appearance on the Joe Rogan podcast, Trump said, “I did McDonald’s last week and I actually got a call from Sundar Pichai. “This is the biggest thing we’ve had in years,” he said while referring to the Google CEO. Trump said that Pichai described the McDonald’s visit as one of the most significant events for Google in recent times.

Trump McDonald’s Visit
Trump’s visit to the fast-food giant was deemed a strategic move to target his Democratic rival and Vice President Kamala Harris ahead of the November 5 election. The campaign was intended as a jab at opponent Harris, who says she worked at the fast-food franchise in her youth.
Trump has repeatedly said that Harris never worked at a McDonald’s while in college, an experience she has spoken about during the campaign. During the Rogan podcast, Trump quipped that he had worked “15 minutes more than her” at the fast-food chain, referencing her past comments about her own experience working at McDonald’s.
Trump asserted that Kamala Harris “lied about” working at McDonald’s. “The manager said she’d never worked there,” the former US president said. In addition to the praise from Pichai, Trump has been vocal about his grievances with Google. He accused the search engine of bias, claiming it only displays negative stories about him.
At an event organised by the Economic Club of Chicago on October 15, he mentioned contacting Pichai to express his concerns about search results associated with his name. “I’m getting a lot of good stories lately, but you don’t find them in Google,” he said, labeling the situation as “rigged”.
Trump’s criticisms of Google reflect a broader narrative he has maintained regarding perceived bias from major tech companies against conservative figures. He said that if he has 20 positive articles and 20 negative ones, only the negative ones are visible on Google.
