Exclusive interview with the author

Q: What Inspired You To Write This Book?

A:My inspiration for writing “The Divine Path to Motherhood: Seven Spiritual Laws for a Blissful Pregnancy” stems from Dr. Deepak Chopra’s “Seven Spiritual Laws for Success.” His insights profoundly influenced my professional life, guiding me toward a more balanced and fulfilling approach. I realized that these same spiritual principles could enhance the journey of pregnancy, helping expectant mothers embrace this transformative experience with mindfulness and purpose.

Q: Can You Tell Us About The Book?

A: “The Divine Path to Motherhood: Seven Spiritual Laws for a Blissful Pregnancy” is a book that guides expectant mothers through the spiritual and emotional journey of pregnancy by applying the timeless principles found in Dr. Deepak Chopra’s “Seven Spiritual Laws for Success.” This book adapts these laws to the unique challenges and joys of pregnancy, offering expectant mothers a pathway to connect with their inner self and their growing baby on a deeper, more meaningful level. Each chapter of the book focuses on one of the seven spiritual laws and illustrates how these principles—such as the Law of Pure Potentiality or the Law of Least Effort—can help pregnant women navigate stress, enhance emotional well-being, and embrace the sacred role of motherhood. The book provides practical tips, meditations, and personal stories to empower mothers-to-be in cultivating a spiritually enriched pregnancy. The goal is to offer expectant mothers a holistic approach to pregnancy, nurturing their body, mind, and spirit, and preparing them for motherhood with grace and wisdom.

Q: What Does The Title Mean?

A: The title The Divine Path to Motherhood: Seven Spiritual Laws for a Blissful Pregnancy reflects the idea that pregnancy is a sacred and transformative journey. The word “Divine” suggests that motherhood is not only a physical experience but a spiritual one, where a deeper connection with oneself, the baby, and the universe unfolds. “The Path” symbolizes the journey an expectant mother undertakes, full of emotional, mental, and spiritual growth. The phrase “Seven Spiritual Laws” refers to the guiding principles adapted from Dr. Deepak Chopra’s teachings, which offer a framework to navigate this journey with mindfulness, peace, and purpose. “Blissful Pregnancy” speaks to the ultimate goal—helping expectant mothers find joy, balance, and fulfillment during this life-changing time by embracing these spiritual laws. Altogether, the title conveys that motherhood, guided by spiritual wisdom, can be an enriching and deeply fulfilling experience.

Q: How Long Does It Take You To Write A Book?

A: The time it takes to write a book varies depending on several factors, such as the depth of research involved, the clarity of my vision, and the flow of creativity during the process. For The Divine Path to Motherhood: Seven Spiritual Laws for a Blissful Pregnancy, it required a balance of thoughtful reflection, research, and personal experience. Since I was adapting spiritual concepts to a specific topic like pregnancy, the process involved careful consideration of how each law could be applied meaningfully to the pregnancy journey. On average, writing such a book might take several months to a year, depending on the complexity of the content and the level of detail required. In this case, each chapter was crafted to not only teach but also inspire, which meant taking the time to ensure that the tone and message resonated with expectant mothers. Additionally, revisions and refining the content to ensure it aligned with the intended spiritual framework required dedicated time and focus.

Q: How Many Books Have You Written? Which Is Your Favourite?

A: I have written two books so far: The Art of Natural Birth: Mastering Seven Habits for Gentle Arrival and The Divine Path to Motherhood: Seven Spiritual Laws for a Blissful Pregnancy. Each book holds a special place for me, as they both focus on empowering expectant mothers with knowledge and spiritual wisdom. As for a favorite, it’s difficult to choose, but The Divine Path to Motherhood stands out as it dives deeper into the spiritual aspects of pregnancy, offering a holistic approach that I find truly transformative. This book allowed me to integrate my love for spiritual teachings with my professional experience in a way that feels deeply fulfilling.

Q: Do You Try More To Be Original Or To Deliver To Readers What They Want?

A: I believe in striking a balance between originality and delivering what readers want. For me, being original is essential because it allows my unique perspective, experiences, and voice to shine through. Authenticity in writing resonates deeply with readers, making the message more powerful and impactful. At the same time, I also consider what my readers need or expect, especially when writing on topics like pregnancy and spirituality. I aim to address their concerns, provide practical guidance, and offer insights that they can apply in their lives. However, even when meeting readers’ expectations, I ensure that the content reflects my authentic viewpoint and creative approach. Ultimately, my goal is to offer something meaningful and fresh while still being relevant to the reader’s needs. By weaving originality into a framework that readers find valuable, I aim to create a deeper connection with my audience.

Q:What, In Your Opinion, Are The Most Important Elements Of Good Writing?

A: In my opinion, the most important elements of good writing are: Clarity: The ability to express thoughts clearly and concisely is essential. Good writing should make complex ideas easy to understand without overwhelming the reader. Clear writing eliminates confusion and helps convey the message effectively. Engagement: Writing should capture the reader’s attention from the very beginning. Whether through storytelling, relatable examples, or compelling arguments, good writing draws the reader in and keeps them engaged throughout the piece. Authenticity: Authentic writing reflects the writer’s true voice and experiences. It resonates more deeply with readers when they can sense sincerity and originality, making the content feel personal and relatable. Purpose: Every piece of writing should have a clear purpose, whether it’s to inform, inspire, entertain, or persuade. Good writing stays focused on its purpose and delivers value to the reader in a meaningful way. Flow and Structure: Strong writing is well-organized, with a logical structure that guides the reader smoothly from one idea to the next. Transitions between paragraphs and sections should feel natural, creating a cohesive narrative or argument. Emotional Connection: Writing that evokes emotion often leaves the most lasting impact. Whether it’s humor, empathy, or inspiration, connecting with readers on an emotional level creates a more memorable experience. Attention to Detail: Good writing is precise and accurate. Paying attention to grammar, punctuation, and word choice is important, as it reflects professionalism and ensures the content is polished and error-free. Creativity: The ability to present familiar ideas in new and imaginative ways makes writing more engaging. Creativity helps the writer stand out and keeps the content fresh and original. When these elements are combined, they create writing that is powerful, impactful, and memorable.

Q:What Does Success Mean To You? What Is The Definition Of Success?

A:To me, success is about fulfillment and purpose rather than just external achievements. It means living in alignment with my values, pursuing my passions, and making a positive impact on others’ lives. Success is not measured by a single goal but by continuous growth, learning, and meaningful connections. In terms of definition, success is a state of balance and harmony between personal happiness, professional accomplishments, and contributing to something greater than oneself. It’s about achieving goals that resonate deeply with who you are while also finding contentment in the journey, not just the outcome. Ultimately, success means feeling at peace with where you are, knowing that you’re living authentically and purposefully, and having the courage to keep moving forward in your chosen path.

Q: How Important Is Research To You When Writing A Book?

A: Research is extremely important to me when writing a book. It forms the foundation upon which the content is built, ensuring accuracy, depth, and credibility. Whether it’s exploring spiritual principles, understanding medical facts, or incorporating real-life stories, research allows me to provide well-rounded and meaningful insights to my readers. In a book like The Art of Natural Birth: Mastering Seven Habits for Gentle Arrival, research was crucial in combining scientific knowledge about childbirth with practical and spiritual advice. I wanted to ensure that the advice was not only inspirational but also grounded in proven practices. Similarly, for The Divine Path to Motherhood: Seven Spiritual Laws for a Blissful Pregnancy, research helped me adapt the spiritual teachings of Dr. Deepak Chopra to the context of pregnancy. This required understanding both the spiritual principles and the unique challenges and experiences that pregnant women face. Research also helps me stay up-to-date with current trends and information, which is important for providing readers with relevant and trustworthy guidance. Whether it’s reviewing studies, consulting experts, or diving into spiritual texts, research is an essential step in creating a book that resonates with readers and delivers value.

Q: How Do Your Book Get Published?

A: The Art of Natural Birth was published through another publishing house, while The Divine Path to Motherhood was published through Orange Book Publication. Both of these publication houses handled all aspects of the publishing process, from editing and design to distribution and marketing. This allowed me to focus on writing and refining the content, knowing that the technical aspects of publishing were being professionally managed.

Q: Where Do You Get Your Greatest Ideas For Writing?

A: I get my greatest ideas for writing from a combination of personal experiences, professional insights, and spiritual teachings. My work with expectant mothers and healthcare professionals provides a wealth of real-life stories and challenges, which inspire me to create content that is both meaningful and practical. Observing the emotional, physical, and spiritual journeys of pregnancy gives me firsthand insights into the topics I write about. Additionally, spiritual teachings, especially from authors like Dr. Deepak Chopra, deeply influence my writing. Concepts like mindfulness, inner peace, and connection to one’s higher self guide much of my thought process, helping me to frame my writing in a way that resonates with readers on a deeper level. I also find inspiration through meditation and reflection. Taking time to disconnect from the external world allows creative ideas to flow more freely, helping me find clarity and purpose in what I want to convey through my writing.

Q: What Advice Would You Give To Aspiring Authors?

A: To aspiring authors, I would offer the following advice: Start Writing and Be Consistent: Don’t wait for the perfect moment or idea to begin. The act of writing itself will help you discover your voice and refine your ideas. Write consistently, even if it’s just a few sentences a day, and build a habit that keeps the momentum going. Embrace Your Authentic Voice: Write about what truly resonates with you. Authenticity will not only make your writing unique, but it will also connect more deeply with your readers. Don’t try to mimic other writers; trust your own perspective and experiences. Don’t Fear Imperfection: The first draft doesn’t have to be perfect. Writing is a process, and most of the magic happens in the editing phase. Allow yourself to create freely without worrying too much about making mistakes. Read Widely and Often: Great writers are often great readers. Read a variety of books, not just in your genre, to expose yourself to different styles, voices, and ideas. This will enrich your writing and help you grow as an author. Seek Feedback and Be Open to Criticism: Share your work with others and be willing to accept constructive criticism. Feedback is essential for growth, and it can help you see your work from new perspectives. Stay Patient and Persistent: Writing a book is a marathon, not a sprint. There will be moments of doubt and creative blocks, but persistence is key. Stay patient with the process and trust that each step brings you closer to your goal. Believe in Your Message: If you’re passionate about your subject, that passion will shine through your writing. Believe in the value of what you’re offering to the world, and let that belief fuel your commitment to finishing and sharing your work. By staying true to yourself and committing to the journey, you’ll not only grow as a writer but also create something meaningful that can impact others.
