U.S. State Department approves possible .17 bln sale of helicopter equipment to India

The U.S. State Department has approved the potential sale of equipment and follow-on support for MH-60R Seahawk helicopters to India for an estimated cost of $1.17 billion, the Pentagon said on Monday.

The principal contractor will be Lockheed Martin, the Pentagon said in a statement.
