Exclusive interview with the author

Q: What Inspired You To Write This Book?

A: The Book covers an intrinsic topic – मी ( I). Each one of us are so very intrigued and involved in मी (I), that all our actions and reactions are aimed ot pleasing that मी. The Book draws out fictional expreriences and incidences, which however could be experienced in real by many of us, in some way or the other. The thought of assimilating and clubbing these experiences under a common thread formed the basis of the book मी.

Q: Can You Tell Us About The Book?

A: The usage of मी (I) is very natural, simple, short and comes so very free. It’s so easy that each of us must be using it at least a hundred times a day. Every action performed by oneself is addressed as ‘मी’ (I). Whether seen with the eyes, done with the hands, even burped after having a meal, or even peacefully sleeping after that burp, it is still मी (I). In simple, short situational stories, this मी, (I) will come to your reading vis-a-vis other मीs. Sometimes behind the relative perspectives., and sometimes even as a self reflecting mirror. As the author here, I have made a special effort here to explore that मी and his close friendship with its virtues and vices. Each story begins with मी and ends with मी to emphasize the aspect of मी.

Q: What Does The Title Mean?

A: मी means I – This one word, the root of being, ego, pride, possession also comes with vices and virtues, stuck to it.

Q: What Did You Learn When Writing The Book?

A: This book, along with the pleasure of writing also presented with ample opportunities of self reflection and turning inwards.

Q: Do You Try More To Be Original Or To Deliver To Readers What They Want?

A: Yes, innovative style in the crowded world of writing helps. My first book was narration and personificaiton of the Bhagwad Gita, widely acclaimed for the idea and presentation. Using unique style without trying to emulate almost always works. Readers then can associate writing style with the author, each time.

Q: What Is The Most Difficult Part About Writing For You?

A: Stepping out of the author’s (my) shoes and stepping into the readers’.

Q: What Does Success Mean To You? What Is The Definition Of Success?

A: One that satisfies you first, by the satisfaction and reading pleasure of the readers, in this case.

Q: How Important Is Research To You When Writing A Book?

A: Research is very important. Important ot keep the relevance honest, the accuracy and applicability intact and juxtapose ideas and plans on the plane of writing thoughts, seamlessly.

Q: Where Do You Get Your Greatest Ideas For Writing?

A: Greatest ideas come from experiences, observations, extrapolations and imaginative ideas.

Q: What Advice Would You Give To Aspiring Authors?

A: Be original, be your style, and try to bring in reader pleasures, with good content, not necesarily bombastic.
