Nivin Pauly got a big relief from a Kerala court. The Judicial First Class Magistrate Court-I at Vaikom ordered that a criminal complaint be filed against producer PS Shamnas. The court found that Shamnas had lied to the court. Judge Archana K Babu said Shamnas had hidden facts and made wrong claims under oath. Reports from Bar and Bench website say that the court clearly stated Shamnas misled the court. It found that he gave false evidence on purpose. The judge said, “The giving of false evidence amounts to practicing of fraud upon the court … it was manifest that the respondent (Shamnas) had intentionally made a false statement or declaration when he was under a legal obligation to speak the truth in a judicial proceedings.” The court also said that, at first look, Shamnas committed fraud just to get an FIR registered against Nivin Pauly. This order came on January 12 and brought a big legal relief to the actor.

On Day 22 it collected around Rs 1.2 crore as per rough numbers.
