Amid the raging controversy over the T20 World Cup match between India and Pakistan, PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi has said he and his government are not intimidated by what he called “threats” from India and the ICC while indicating the support of army chief Field Marshal Asim Munir.

“Neither am I intimidated by the threats from India and the ICC, nor is the Government of Pakistan, and as for Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, you already know about him, he never gets afraid,” Naqvi said during a press conference.

Top government sources, however, said by deliberately naming Field Marshal Asim Munir, Naqvi has turned a matter of cricket scheduling into a civil army issue.
