Enzo Fernandez admits uncertainty over his Chelsea future after a crushing 8-2 aggregate loss to PSG, raising fresh concerns over a summer shake-up.

It went from bad to worse for Chelsea, and then came the comments that raised even more eyebrows.

Following a crushing 8-2 aggregate defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League, skipper Enzo Fernandez admitted he is unsure about his future at the club.

“I Don’t Know”

Chelsea were beaten 3-0 at Stamford Bridge in the second leg, completing a humbling exit at the hands of the defending champions.

But it was Fernandez’s post-match remarks that stole the spotlight.

“I don’t know… there are eight games left and the FA Cup. There’s the World Cup and then we’ll see.”

Enzo, who has made 45 appearances this season (12 goals, six assists), was substituted after 60 minutes in what was a night to forget all around.

The defeat leaves Chelsea’s campaign hanging by a thread, with hopes now resting on a top-four Premier League finish and a run in the FA Cup.

Signed for a British-record £107 million in 2023, Fernandez remains one of Chelsea’s most valuable assets, and any potential exit would demand a huge fee.

Rosenior Plays It Safe

Head coach Liam Rosenior refused to be drawn into the speculation.

“Firstly, I haven’t seen that,” said Rosenior of Fernandez’s comments.

“It’s hard for me to speak on speculation after a game, and I need to focus right now on the most important things, which is making sure we get a result against Everton on Saturday.”
