About the Author:

Aarna Khivasara is an 11-year-old girl living in Pune, Maharashtra. She studies in St. Mary’s School, Pune. She loves sketching, painting, playing the guitar and swimming but it is books that she is the most passionate about. The love for literature runs in her family. Her parents and younger brother Riaan, are all voracious readers. She started writing poems at the age of 9. In her words, “Writing a poem is one of the greatest creative pleasures I have ever felt. The magic of words never fails to enthral me.” This book is a collection of some of her poems which she always looked forward to share with the world but kept procrastinating the idea. She is glad to finally present her labour of love to you all. Hope you all like it!

Q: What Inspired You To Write This Book?

A:A random attempt at writing a poem made me realise that poetry gives me immense creative satisfaction & happiness. In the pursuit of happiness, I kept writing & writing. After a while, my parents felt that my work was good enough to be published.

Q: Can You Tell Us About The Book?

A: A rose blooming in the garden or watching the balloons drift in the sky.. pure joys are inexpensive yet so precious! This book is about such numerous little relatable things that will surely find a place in your heart! The poems in it are honest, pure and soulful.

Q: What Does The Title Mean?

A: It is the little things in life that make us the happiest. Life is beautiful because of them.. find them, cherish them and celebrate them everyday!

Q: Do You Try More To Be Original Or To Deliver To Readers What They Want?

A: I write from my heart, I am driven by my thoughts & feelings.

Q: How Did Publishing Your First Book Change Your Process Of Writing?

A: Publishing my work validates it in a big way. It makes me more confident and inspires me to keep writing.

Q:What Does Success Mean To You? What Is The Definition Of Success?

A: Success is like sunlight. You won’t get it always, so enjoy it as long as it lasts. Good days won’t last but the same goes for the not-so-good days too!

Q:Where Do You Get Your Greatest Ideas For Writing?

A:From random things & experiences.
