Taylor Swift Debuts Cropped Hair, Turns Up Sans Travis Kelce At Friend’s UK Wedding

Singer Taylor Swift wore a $3,500 Costarellos navy gown called the Arcangela for the wedding ceremony of her friends that took place on Sunday.

Taylor Swift made a rare appearance in the UK for the wedding ceremony of her dear friends, recording engineers Oli Jacobs and Laura Sisk, hosted at Real World Studios in England, on Saturday, August 15. The singer was seen without her new husband, NFL player Travis Kelce, who was back in the US prepping for his new season. The couple got married at Madison Square Garden on July 3, with over a thousand guests in attendance.
Taylor Swift wore a navy frock for the wedding. The $3,500 Costarellos gown is called the Arcangela. It features some intricate gold appliqués inspired by foliage and has a sophisticated V-neckline and an equally low-cut back. She was accompanied by her besties, singer Sabrina Carpenter and the newly single music producer Jack Antonoff.
The Grammy winner’s massive engagement ring and gold band were on full display as she socialised at the wedding. This is also the first time that we are getting a glimpse at the singer’s new ring stack. She paired her Kindred Lubeck by Artifex Fine Jewellery engagement ring with a thin gold wedding band. She also accessorised her look with a pearl necklace and a Cartier Love Unlimited bracelet and sported her usual iconic red lip.
This is also the first time in many years that Taylor Swift has cut her hair this short. The singer has been growing her hair for a long time, only changing up her bangs periodically.
Whether this is an Easter egg for a new album or not is up for debate, and Swifties have been getting into it online. However, most of the fans of the singer are loving the look. Taylor Swift couldn’t stop touching her shorter hairdo, while her signature bangs have remained intact.
In a previous interview feature for Elle to celebrate her 30th birthday in 2019, Taylor Swift spoke about the changes that her hair has undergone over the years.
“I learned that your hair can completely change texture,” she wrote. “From birth, I had the curliest hair and now it is STRAIGHT. It’s the straight hair I wished for every day in junior high.”
Taylor Swift added at the time: “But just as I was coming to terms with loving my curls, they’ve left me. Please pray for their safe return.”
