As the PM Kisan’s installments are released after every four months, the next installment (24th installment) of the PM Kisan scheme is expected to be released in October 2026.

PM Kisan 24th Installment Date: The central government has rolled out various schemes to support farmers, including boosting their income. One of the flagship schemes is the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, under which Rs 6,000 is given to farmers annually through direct benefit transfers. The amount is given in three instalments of Rs 2,000 each.

So far, the government has released 23 instalments under this scheme, disbursing over Rs 4.28 lakh crore. The previous instalment was released on June 20, 2026, to disburse Rs 18,880 crore to 9.44 crore farmers.

What Is PM Kisan Scheme?

Under the PM Kisan scheme, eligible farmers get Rs 2,000 every four months, which is Rs 6,000 annually. The money is provided each year in three instalments — April-July, August-November and December-March. The fund is directly transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries.

The scheme was announced in the Interim Budget 2019 by then finance minister Piyush Goyal and was later launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It has now become the world’s biggest Direct Benefit Transfer scheme.

When Will Farmers Receive 24th Installment Of PM Kisan Scheme?

As the PM Kisan’s installments are released after every four months, the next installment (24th installment) of the PM Kisan scheme is expected to be released in October 2026. However, the official date has not been announced yet.

Meanwhile, it is necessary for the farmers to check eligibility, complete KYC, and check beneficiary status. They also need to apply if they have not so far.

Here’s how to complete e-KYC

To receive the upcoming 24th instalment, the farmers need to complete their e-KYC. According to the scheme’s official website, “eKYC is MANDATORY for PMKISAN Registered Farmers. OTP-based eKYC is available on the PMKISAN Portal, or the nearest CSC centres may be contacted for Biometric-based eKYC”.

Method 1: e-KYC Using Aadhaar OTP

This is the simplest option if your mobile number is linked with your Aadhaar.

  1. Visit the official PM-KISAN portal.
  2. On the homepage, click ‘e-KYC’.
  3. Enter your Aadhaar number.
  4. Enter the required details and proceed with authentication.
  5. An OTP will be sent to your Aadhaar-registered mobile number.
  6. Enter the OTP and submit it.

After successful Aadhaar authentication, your PM-KISAN e-KYC will be completed.

Method 2: e-KYC Through a CSC

If you cannot complete OTP-based e-KYC, you can visit a Common Service Centre (CSC).

  1. Take your Aadhaar card and Aadhaar-linked mobile number to the nearest CSC.
  2. Ask the CSC operator to complete your PM-KISAN e-KYC.
  3. The operator will perform Aadhaar-based biometric authentication.

Once authentication is successful, your e-KYC will be completed.

Method 3: e-KYC Through Face Authentication

You can also complete e-KYC using the PM-KISAN mobile app.

  1. Download the PM-KISAN mobile app and the Aadhaar Face RD app from the Google Play Store.
  2. Open the PM-KISAN app and log in using your PM-KISAN registered mobile number.
  3. Go to the Beneficiary Status section.
  4. Check your e-KYC status.
  5. If the status shows ‘No,’ select ‘e-KYC’.
  6. Enter your Aadhaar number and give consent for face authentication.
  7. Follow the instructions to scan your face.

After successful face authentication, your e-KYC will be completed.

How to Check Your e-KYC Status

After completing e-KYC, you can check its status through the Know Your Status (KYS) section of the PM-KISAN portal. The official portal also provides financial-year-wise e-KYC information under beneficiary status.

Note: The PM-KISAN guidelines state that e-KYC status may take up to 24 hours to be reflected in the beneficiary status after completion.

Who Is Eligible For PM Kisan Scheme?

In order to be eligible for the PM-Kisan’s 24th installment, a person needs to fulfill below mentioned conditions:

  • Indian citizen
  • Owns cultivable land
  • Should be a small or marginal farmer
  • Not be a retiree who receives a pension of at least Rs 10,000 per month
  • Not have filed for income tax
  • Not be an institutional landholder.

PM Kisan: How To Check Beneficiary Status?

1) Visit the official website — https://pmkisan.gov.in/.

2) Now, click on the tab ‘Know Your Status’ on the right side of the page.

3) Enter your registration number and fill Captcha Code, and select ‘Get Data’ option.

Your beneficiary status will come up on the screen.

PM-Kisan: Check Your Name in Beneficiary List

Step 1: Visit PM Kisan official website https://pmkisan.gov.in/

Step 2: Click on the ‘Beneficiary list’ tab.

Step 3: Select details from the drop-down such as select state, district, sub-district, block, and village

Step 4: Click on the ‘Get report’ tab

After this, the beneficiary list will be displayed.

How To Apply For PM Kisan Samman Nidhi?

Step 1: Visit https://pmkisan.gov.in/

Step 2: Click on ‘New Farmer Registration’ and enter Aadhaar number and fill the captcha

Step 3: Enter the required details and click on ‘Yes’

Step 4: Fill in the information asked in the PM-Kisan application form, save it and take a printout for future reference.
