Flash Floods in Nepal-China Border Live Updates: A devastating flash flood and landslide along the Nepal-China border has killed at least 177 people.

According to Nepal’s tourism ministry, around 403 tourists, including 341 foreigners, remained unaccounted for several hours after the disaster struck.

The tourism board said the missing foreign nationals included 142 Indians, along with tourists from Australia, Britain, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Portugal, South Africa, South Korea and the United States.

Experts studying satellite imagery believe a large section of a glacier may have collapsed, triggering an ice-and-rock avalanche. A possible earthquake that struck minutes before the disaster is also being investigated.

India has sent 10 tonnes of humanitarian aid and essential medicines to Nepal, with more assistance being mobilised.

Meanwhile, Nepal has warned people to stay away from the Bhote Koshi and Trishuli rivers, as the risk remains in downstream areas.
