Aamir Ali Chooses Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Over Bigg Boss 17; Sangeeta Phogat, Rajiv Thakur Also Confirmed – News18

Winter season is always a great time for fans of Indian reality television. With popular franchises like Bigg Boss and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa premiering towards the end of each year, fans of the genre remain glued to their screens with excitement. With both Bigg Boss and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa premiering soon, the internet is rife with speculations about which celebrities will be appearing on either show.

Recently, Times Of India confirmed that actor Aamir Ali will be partaking in the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11. This stint will mark the actor’s return to the small screen after nearly four years. The report quoted a source as saying, “Yes, Aamir has been confirmed. He was in discussions with the makers and his contract was recently formalised.”

Interestingly, Aamir was also reportedly in talks with the makers of Bigg Boss 17, scheduled to premiere on October 15. However, the actor has chosen the dance reality show over Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss.

The source also added, “Stand-up comedian Rajiv Thakur and wrestler Sangeeta Phogat have also been finalised. We are now in the process of locking the hosts.” The news went viral on social media and many fans of the franchise expressed their views online.

One person wrote, “Aamir Ali .” Another added, “Aamir Ali rejected the offer of BB11 too at the last moment. He should come in jhalak. He is a damn good dancer. He n Sanjida had fantastic Jodi.” However, another person wrote, “It’s a wrong decision to choose Jhalak over Bigg Boss…however controversial Bigg Boss is, but it makes you a star and your popularity manifolds. Jhalak does not give that push in popularity.”

Meanwhile, one fan of the dance reality show added, “Sangeeta Phogat se jo uljhega use to patak patak ke maregi…” Another fan commented, “Rajiv Thakur is an Underrated Comedian.”

Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa will reportedly premiere in November this year. Earlier, News18 exclusively reported that Nora Fatehi will not be returning as a judge to the show this year.
