Neha Sharma backs Congress–RJD Mahagathbandhan for Bihar polls, sparking buzz after nearly naming Tej Pratap Yadav, who remains controversial after forming Janshakti Janata Dal.

Neha Sharma, actor and daughter of former Congress MLA Ajeet Singh, has gone viral after a video surfaced on X showing her publicly backing the Congress–RJD Mahagathbandhan in the 2025 Bihar elections.
In the clip, Sharma is asked who she supports. She replies, “Rahul Gandhi,” and while attempting to name Tejashwi Yadav, nearly slips and says his estranged brother Tej Pratap Yadav’s name before quickly correcting herself.
Tej Pratap, the elder brother of Tejashwi, has long been embroiled in controversy. He contested from Mahua and lost, and later became isolated from both the Yadav family and the RJD after posting a photo on Facebook with his alleged partner, Anushka Yadav, claiming they had been in a relationship for 12 years.
He went on to accuse “4–5 RJD leaders” or what he described as “five powerful families” — of conspiring to push him out of the party out of jealousy and internal rivalry. Eventually, Tej Pratap broke away and launched his own political outfit, the Janshakti Janata Dal.
Sharma’s video has sparked fresh chatter online, and has clocked over 4 thousand likes and over 4 lakh views.
