Exclusive interview with the author

Q: What Inspired You To Write This Book?

A:I drew inspiration from real-life friends and people I’ve met during my personal journey for my book “Because We Were In Love.” Exploring the personal aspects of individuals’ lives and engaging in discussions with them is indeed a rich source of inspiration for creating authentic and relatable characters in the stories of this book.

Q: Can You Tell Us About The Book?

A: The love between two people is a powerful force that has the ability to transform lives, change the world, and leave an indelible mark on our hearts. It is this love that has inspired the stories in this collection, “Because we were in love.”

Q: What Does The Title Mean?

A: When you are in love, the world is entirely different, and you do a lot of things with an enthusiasm that cannot be matched. This book is a collection of stories that illustrate how individuals, who were once in love but did not succeed, ultimately cope with it and move forward to establish themselves in life.

Q: Do You Try More To Be Original Or To Deliver To Readers What They Want?

A: I want to write what I think is right. I am sure we have readers for everything now.

Q: How Did Publishing Your First Book Change Your Process Of Writing?

A: The process of editing gives you really nice insights about the way you think and what other thinks about what you wrote. Its learning and happy learning.

Q: What Is The Most Difficult Part About Writing For You?

A: When you start within 20-30 pages, you feel that you already came to the end of the story. Then the call and insight to come up with the scenarios to take it forward and stitch the characters together is the most interesting part.

Q:When Did You Write Your First Book And How Old Were You?

A:I wrote my first book a year ahead only. I was 39 when I started writing book.

Q:What Did You Learn When Writing The Book?

A:There are few things which I learnt on this project: Understanding Human Complexity,Crafting a Narrative, Persistence and Discipline, Balancing Creativity and Structure, Acceptance of Imperfection and the power of feedback. It was a great journey writing fiction.
