Novak Djokovic defeated Lorenzo Musetti 4-6, 6-3, 7-5 to win the Vanda Pharmaceuticals Hellenic Championship in Athens, claiming his 101st ATP title.

Novak Djokovic added yet another chapter to his storied career on Sunday, rallying past Italy’s Lorenzo Musetti 4-6, 6-3, 7-5 to win the inaugural Vanda Pharmaceuticals Hellenic Championship in Athens. The hard-fought victory marked Djokovic’s 101st ATP title, further cementing his place among the sport’s all-time greats.

In front of a raucous crowd of nearly 18,000 fans, the world No. 1 overcame a slow start and a spirited challenge from Musetti, who had looked poised for the biggest win of his young career. The Italian took the opening set with some inspired shot-making and bold net play, breaking Djokovic late to lead 6-4.

But as he has done countless times before, Djokovic dug deep. The Serbian tightened his game in the second set, cutting down errors and controlling the rallies with his trademark precision and defense. A crucial break at 4-3 helped him level the match at one set all.

The decider showcased the best of both players. Musetti continued to dazzle with his flair and variety, but Djokovic’s experience and resilience shone through in the tense closing stages. Serving at 5-5, Musetti faltered under pressure, allowing Djokovic to break and serve out the match for the title after two hours and 46 minutes of high-quality tennis.

With the victory, Djokovic denied Musetti a second ATP title and, in doing so, secured a spot at the Nitto ATP Finals for Canada’s Felix Auger-Aliassime, who benefited from Musetti’s loss in the qualification race.
