Diljit Dosanjh officially kicked off his highly anticipated Dil-Luminati Tour in India and delighted fans in Delhi with two unforgettable nights at the packed Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. Numerous videos and photos showcasing the electrifying atmosphere flooded social media. During his performance, Diljit wrapped himself in the Indian flag and engaged in a heartfelt conversation with the audience. In a touching video shared on Instagram, the Lover singer paid tribute to various Indian languages, including Gujarati, Marathi, Kannada, Telugu and Hindi, while giving a special shout-out to his mother tongue, Punjabi. Following his inspiring remarks, Diljit launched the show with Main Hoon Punjab from the iconic film Amar Singh Chamkila.

The singer said, “When I was born, my mother spoke Punjabi. The first word I learned was Punjabi. In our country, there are many different languages and I have immense respect for all of them, whether it’s Gujarati, Marathi, Kannada, Telugu, Hindi, each one deserves great respect. But because my mother speaks Punjabi, I also speak in Punjabi.” Before beginning the song, Main Hoon Punjab, Diljit screamed, “Punjabi agaye Delhi oye,” which left the crowd energised.

Before bringing his Dil-Luminati Tour to India, Diljit Dosanjh travelled around the globe. While he usually keeps his personal life private, he made his Manchester, UK concert special, when the singer introduced his mother and sister to the audience for the very first time. In an emotional clip, Diljit can be seen greeting his family members, who were standing in the crowd. This rare glimpse into his personal life touched fans’ hearts.

Last month, Diljit Dosanjh’s manager, Sonali Singh, revealed some interesting details about the tickets for the Dil-Luminati Tour. In an interview with Connect Cine, she mentioned that some resellers were offering tickets at extremely high prices, up to $64,000 (approximately Rs 53 lakh) and $55,000 (approximately Rs 46 lakh). She clarified that these prices were not the original ticket costs but were set by people who buy tickets and then sell them at a higher price. Further, Sonali made an eye-opening revelation, claiming that Diljit’s North American tour generated around $28 million (approximately Rs 235 Crore) in revenue.
