Exclusive interview with the author

Q: What Inspired You To Write This Book?

A:As a Consultant Paediatrician and a Professor with 20 years of experience and having given more than 20000 vaccinations, on a daily basis in my OPD, I keep getting many questions on vaccinations. So I prepared this book as a tool for the parents to understand the importance of vaccinating their children and also to make them realise that it’s their duty as a caregiver to do the same.

Q: Can You Tell Us About The Book?

A:This book outlines on the various diseases and their effects on children in the community and how a simple prick in the form of a vaccine can prevent all this. It also describes the various benefits of vaccination at the level of child, parents, family, community and the Nation. A special mention has been made about the preparation of children by the parents by some techniques (like role play) before bringing them to the hospital for vaccination in order to make them more cooperative. A bonus section has been added on the various important questions that a caregiver has to ask the doctor before and after the vaccination of their children.

Q: What Does The Title Mean?

A:The title describes a confused thought process that arises in the minds of the parents and caregivers regarding the vaccination of their children.

Q: What Does Success Mean To You? What Is The Definition Of Success?

A:Success as an Author of an educational or informative book is when you do see that the book has made a positive impact on the people and it has helped them and the community for the better.

Q: How Important Is Research To You When Writing A Book?

A: Research is the most important thing especially if you are writing an informative book like this. A book like this, has to bring out some good changes in the community and for that it will be better accepted if it has data based on thorough study and research.

Q:Do You Believe A Book Cover Plays An Important Role In The Selling Process?

A: Of course, majority of the people see the cover of the book to know what exactly it might convey and the fate of a book regarding its purchase is decided in less than ten seconds from the decision made by the consumer by looking at its cover.
