The United Arab Emirates said its air defence systems are actively intercepting missiles and drones launched from Iran. The Ministry of Defence added that the loud explosions heard across the country were the result of mid-air interceptions as forces responded to aerial threats.

Several Gulf countries have voiced concern at the United Nations over Iranian strikes targeting energy facilities and civilian areas. Kuwait’s ambassador, Naser Abdullah H. M.
