Dubai-Bound IndiGo Flight Makes Emergency Landing In Ahmedabad Due To Technical Snag

IndiGo also apologised to its passengers and informed that an alternative flight was arranged to avoid major delays.

A Dubai-bound IndiGo flight made an emergency landing on Thursday in Ahmedabad due to a technical snag shortly after taking off from Surat, the airline confirmed.
“IndiGo flight 6E 1507, operating from Surat to Dubai, made a precautionary landing at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, Ahmedabad, due to a technical snag,” said an IndiGo spokesperson.
According to a spokesperson, the aircraft underwent maintenance checks in Ahmedabad, and an alternative flight was arranged to ensure passengers could continue their journey without major delays. The replacement flight successfully landed in Dubai around 13:35 local time.
The airlines also said that the passengers were offered meals and refreshments.
In a statement, an IndiGo spokesperson said,” We regret the inconvenience caused to our customers and made all possible efforts to minimise it, including offering meals and refreshments. We appreciate our customers’ understanding and cooperation throughout this process. At IndiGo, we remain committed to the safety and security of our customers and crew.”
Earlier on Wednesday, two flights bound for Shivamogga in Karnataka were diverted to Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) due to adverse weather conditions at Shivamogga Airport.
Star Air flight S5 211 from Goa was diverted and landed safely in Hyderabad. SpiceJet flight SG 2710 from Chennai was also diverted but later cancelled, along with its return leg, SG 2711 from Shivamogga to Hyderabad.
Recently, an IndiGo flight from Dibrugarh to Guwahati, carrying Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, was diverted to Agartala due to bad weather.
