Elvish Yadav On Facing Constant Controversies: ‘Is Being Famous A Crime?’

From becoming the first wildcard to have won Bigg Boss to constantly making headlines post the victory, Elvish Yadav’s journey has been anything but smooth. Apart from the household recognition, the fame also brought a share of turbulence in his life, which he was not prepared for. In a recent chat, the MTV Roadies XX fame addressed the emotional toll of the ongoing controversies, adding that the outcomes often leave him questioning whether stardom is a burden.
In a conversation with Pinkvilla, Elvish Yadav said, “Farak padta hai… Roz sochta hu jo cheezein kari nahi, voh karni pad rahi hai (“It does affect me. Every day I find myself dealing with things I never actually did).”
Talking further, Elvish did not hold back as he expressed how the impact of being in constant public scrutiny. He added, “Kabhi kabhi sochta hu… ‘Itna famous hona gunaah ho gaya kya? Mere se bhi toh famous log hai voh khush hai, mere sath aisa kyu hai (Sometimes I wonder, is being famous a crime? There are people even more famous than me, and they seem happy — so why is this happening to me?”
Amid the chaos and controversies, Elvish Yadav finds strength in the unwavering support system of his family as he said, “Parivaar mera humesha mere sath khada raha.” He also emphasised that his family’s trust in him stems from the fact that they believe he is on the right path. “Vo khush hai joh mai kar rha hu life mai,” he continued. However, he acknowledged that his family also gets hurt when baseless accusations are levied against him. Elvish stated, “Bas thode dukhi ho jaate hai jab aise ilzaam lag jaate hai.”
Always looking at the bigger picture, Elvish admitted that the challenges have taught him a lot, contributing to his personal growth. “Mature ho gaya mai time se pehle (I have matured before my time),” he claimed.
As the controversies swirl and attention remains fixed on him, Elvish Yadav continues to shine with his work and achievements. Currently, he is winning hearts with his stint on the show Laughter Chefs 2, which airs on Colors TV.
