First Pictures Of ‘Marlin Luanda’ Ship On Fire After Houthi Strike In Gulf Of Aden News18

Crews extinguished a fire on board the tanker Marlin Luanda on January 27 after the vessel was struck by a Houthi anti-ship missile in the Gulf of Aden on January 26, commodities trader Trafigura said.The U.S. military said earlier that a U.S. Navy ship and other vessels had provided assistance after the Marlin Luanda was hit.Images released by the Indian Navy via the social media platform X, formerly Twitter showed the tanker ablaze, with smoke billowing into the sky, following the attack.Reuters was able to confirm that the ship seen in the photos was the fuel tanker the Marlin Luanda. The design and colours of the ship matched the file imagery of the vessel.Reuters was not able to independently confirm the date or location the photos were taken.
