As per the reports, the film was produced on a budget of Rs 150 crore and as per the Bollywood Hungama Report, collected an estimated amount of Rs 367.65 crore. Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior brought the biggest respite for Saif Ali Khan. The 54-year-old actor had to face many flop films at the box office after the success of his film Race 2 directed by Abbas-Mustan. His films like Laal Kaptaan, Baazaar, Kaalakaandi, etc between 2013-2020 proved to be box office failures. Things changed for him after he portrayed the role of Udaybhan Singh Rathore in Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior.
Directed by Om Raut, this film thrived at the box office and received praise from critics and the audience. Saif also won numerous praises for his acting skills and was nominated for Awards from the International Film Academy for this role. He was nominated under the category of best actor in a supporting actor for this film. He also won the Filmfare Award in 2021 under the Best Supporting Actor category. Besides these prizes, he was the recipient of the Masala! Awards and nominated for the Indian Film and Television Awards as well.

Currently, Saif is looking forward to his much-anticipated film Devara Part 1, written and directed by Koratala Siva. He will play the antagonist Bhaira in this project. Jr NTR has headlined this film with Janhvi Kapoor playing the female lead. Prakash Raj, Meka Srikanth and others will also act in this film. This pan-India film will mark the Telugu debut of Janhvi Kapoor. This film will be released at the cinema halls in India on September 27.
