The Asian Games in Hangzhou proved to be a campaign to remember for the Indian contingent. They made history by surpassing their previous medal tally (70) and recorded new podium finishes for the first time in multiple events. They will have the opportunity to top their campaign off with some more victories in the remaining events on October 7. As many as 93 Indian athletes will be in action on Day 14 of the Asian Games, across 13 different sports. Those events include archery, sepak takraw, ju-jitsu, kabaddi, wrestling, badminton, men’s cricket and women’s hockey.

Indian women’s cricket team already secured their first-ever gold by beating Sri Lanka in the final. The male counterparts will be looking to follow in their footsteps in hopes of delivering a second gold in cricket for India. In women’s hockey, India are set to square off against China in the semi-finals of the event.

It will be a historic day for both the men’s and women’s Kabaddi teams as they will battle in the final. The men’s team will face arch-rivals and defending champions Iran while the women’s team will face Chinese Taipei.

In archery, the duo of Jyothi Surekha Vennam and Pravin Ojas Deotale helped India bag a gold in the compound mixed team event. The Indian contingent will be looking to add some more silverware in archery on the final day in individual events.
