Smriti Khanna, best known for her role in Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi, recently attended Coldplay’s concert at Navi Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium with her husband, Gautam Gupta. Interestingly, the actress admitted she isn’t a huge fan of the British rock band but decided to attend due to social-media-driven FOMO.
In a vlog, Smriti revealed that the couple ended up paying “double-triple” the regular ticket price after buying the passes in black. Sharing a screenshot of her conversation with the seller, she humorously asked, “I hope this is not a scam,” before transferring the money. Explaining their decision, she said, “We’re not the biggest fans of Coldplay, but Instagram gave us so much FOMO that we caved in and bought the tickets.”
Despite the hefty price, it seems the couple thoroughly enjoyed the experience. As the clip progresses, we see the couple finally reaching the DY Patil Stadium for the concert after a three-hour drive. Leaving their car behind, the couple rushed to the entry gates and reached on time.
Furthermore, she confessed, “Honestly, when I entered, I thought maybe we made a big mistake. But when the show began, it was truly out of this world—an experience I never imagined.”
She also shared a few glimpses of Coldplay’s lead singer Chris Martin performing on stage along with his band. The highlight of the clip was Gautam picking Smriti up on his shoulders so that she could enjoy the show.
Smriti concluded the video by saying, “The night was nothing less than magical, full of love and reminded me of someone who knew nothing of Coldplay.”
