Star Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham finds himself at the centre of a massive controversy, after Spanish YouTuber Raul Alvarez Genes claimed that the former has visited every club in Spain, adding that Bellingham loves alcohol and has been partying a lot.
On his YouTube channel, Genes claimed that Bellingham ‘sweats out rum’ during training, impacting his performances.
Genes added that Bellingham has been attending parties around Spain.
“There isn’t a single club in Spain that Jude Bellingham hasn’t visited. He loves alcohol too much. Have you seen him in training? He is sweating all of the rum. He loves partying too much,” Genes said.
Bellingham hasn’t yet responded to the claims, though he may choose to address them. Earlier this week, reports suggested tensions with Xabi Alonso, which he later dismissed.
“Until now, I have let far too many of these slide, always hoping the truth will come to light in its own time. But honestly … What a load of s—. Truly feel sorry for the people that hang onto every word of these clowns and their ‘sources’,” Bellingham posted.
Bellingham struggled with a shoulder injury last season and underwent surgery over the summer. He missed the season opener but has since featured in 16 La Liga games, contributing four goals and three assists.
Meanwhile, frustrated Real Madrid fans jeered their own team before they went on to defeat Levante 2-0 in La Liga on Saturday, January 17, bagging new coach Álvaro Arbeloa’s first victory in charge.
Villarreal, third, stumbled to a 2-0 loss to Real Betis, hampering their attempts at mounting a title challenge.
Arbeloa’s debut, after his appointment after Alonso, ended in a humiliating midweek Copa del Rey defeat to second-tier Albacete. However, second-half strikes from Kylian Mbappe and Raul Asencio earned Madrid three crucial points at a tense Santiago Bernabéu.
