The man has used more than 200 bulbs.

The artist has created bulbs which carry different types of miniature monuments and objects within them.

Vijay Pawar, a resident of Hunnur village in Bagalkot, Karnataka, has taken artistic expression to a whole new level by creating unique artwork inside light bulbs. Using 60-volt and 200-volt bulbs as his canvas, Pawar meticulously crafts miniature monuments and objects that are sealed within the bulbs. His creations include famous landmarks like the Taj Mahal, Golgumbaz, Vidhana Soudha, Ganesh Marti, Kudalasangama, Alamatti Reservoir, and Jamkhandi Palace. He has also incorporated objects such as a Shivalinga, calculator, bullock cart, and computer into his miniature masterpieces.

Pawar’s artistic journey was inspired by another artist who had crafted a bullock cart within a bottle. Intrigued by the idea, Pawar decided to push the boundaries of creativity and chose light bulbs as his medium. His first creation, a bullock cart within a bulb, marked the beginning of a remarkable artistic endeavour.

Over time, Vijay Pawar has produced over 200 such bulbs, each a testament to his extraordinary talent and dedication. His unique artworks have earned him several accolades, including the prestigious Limca Award on five occasions. He has also been honoured with awards like Kala Aparanji, Chanakya Vikramaditya, and the district-level Rajyotsava award. Interestingly, Vijay developed this hobby alongside his passion for photography.

Yukiko Murata, an artist hailing from Japan, has found an innovative way to address food waste while creating stunning lamps. Using real bread as her primary material, Murata transforms these edible items into functional lighting fixtures. Her creative project aims to raise awareness about food wastage and repurpose discarded bread into something both useful and visually appealing.

In a video shared on Instagram, Murata demonstrates her unique process. She carefully removes the middle part of the bread and replaces it with illuminating lights, turning the bread into functional lamps.

Her creations feature various bread types, including baguettes and croissants, and she aptly named them “Pampshades.” To ensure the longevity of her bread lamps, Yukiko Murata applies an anti-mould coating to keep them safe and durable.

These remarkable bread lamps are available for purchase on her website, with prices ranging from Rs 500 to Rs 15,000. By combining artistry with environmental consciousness, Yukiko Murata’s creations serve as a creative solution to reduce food waste and offer unique decorative pieces that brighten up spaces.
